Joy specializes in preventing and addressing the impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), childhood adversity and trauma, and toxic stress, and in educating others around these issues.
Joy has focused on helping young people use creative expression to build social and emotional skills, manage stress, and promote healing.
She has a special focus on stepparents, bonus parents, and co-parents, having co-parented her now-adult daughter since the age of two.
